Two co-founders of Sprig Toys have just launched BeginAgain Toys, with engaging (and battery-free) toys organized into categories like Writer (meant to inspire storytelling and character creation) and Inventor (to inspire exploring and building). Gucci's wool GG pattern baby hat ($85 at gucci.com) is just a tad over-the-top. But compared to the label's $90 baby tights, it's kind of practical, too.

The new "Shop the Rainbow" system from Diapers.com allows you to shop for baby clothes by color. You can sort by blue or pink, of course, but also beige, gray, green—even animal print. There are size, brand, style, and gender-sorting algorithms, too, so finding exatly what you need should take about 12 seconds.

More than two years after we reported that health advocacy groups had asked Johnson & Johnson to remove carcinogenic chemicals from its formulation, a new report from the Campaign for Safe Cosmetics says the Johnson's Baby Shampoo sold in many countries, including the U.S., still contains a formaldehyde-releasing preservative.
