Everyone's favorite teething toy turns 50 this year. To celebrate, Sophie Giraffe is sponsoring a photo contest. The prizes aren't huge (winners in each state get $50 worth of merch) but it's kind of fun to give a shout out to a toy with that much staying power.

No matter on which side of the raw milk debate you stand, the new documentary Farmageddon: The Unseen War on American Family Farms, directed by a mom who believes raw milk cured her son's food allergies, offers an interesting (if one-sided) look at access to locally grown foods and raw milk sales. The film will run on a very limited engagement, with screenings at select theaters in a handful of cities. (It opens July 8 in New York.) You can also schedule a private DVD screening ($150) wherever you live, or wait until late fall to order your own DVD.

ReCrib is the brainchild of two New York City parents who obviously get what it's like to lack storage space. The new online marketplace enables parents to sell (or buy) high quality, gently used baby gear. Unloaders get some cash back for the stuff they barely used, and shoppers can avoid dropping full price on, say, a swing. Win-Win. Recrib.com
